#1 This is a...

To kindergartners:

Do you see the little person in the middle? He is standing on a big piece of ice. The ice doesn't look very white because there are little black rocks on it. The big piece of ice is called a glacier. Do you see the blue water at the bottom of the picture? That is a river. It is very cold because it is a river flowing on the big piece of ice. The water is melted ice. The water is flowing down into a dark hole in the ice. It is a big hole and goes down a long, long way. The hole is called a moulin (moo-LAHN). That person should not be standing so close to the hole because
HE COULD FALL IN!
He doesn't want to fall in because it is a very big hole and the water is very cold.

To Harry Potter fanatics:

This is a picture of a moulin (moo-LAHN). If it were one of your precious moving pictures, you'd be able to see the water flowing. Anyway, a moulin is a place on a glacier where a river of glacial melt goes down into the glacier. It flows down through a tunnel it has enlarged over time. You may think all tunnels lead somewhere special like a "Chamber of Secrets" or a "Shrieking Shack." Well, this one doesn't. Because it's just like the door Sirius Black goes through. If that guy falls in, he's dead and gone forever. If you want to learn more about glaciers and moulins, which you probably don't, you ain't gonna find them in no "History of Magic," because that doesn't talk about anything practical. Go to this website, or to the website All About Glaciers.

I really like the way how you did the kinders. It was very easy to understand, they would probably go pick it up and be able to understand what you told them. The HP Fans was not as strong as the kinders. But I like how you brought in different things from each of the HP books. The HP blog was understandable but i guess I just like how you did the kinders one better. I think you did too many questions in the kinders one. I think you said that the water is very cold too many times. I know you said something that was repeated quite afew times. Otherwse you did a great job on your blogs :)
